Miniature English Inn for a Fleetwood Mac music video.
Back in the mid 80's, I was commissioned to work on a music video for Fleetwood Mac.
Without question, I said yes. There was one catch for me though, it had to be in the studio in two weeks time.
The job was an old English inn to be used as background elements to the actors performing the songs story. This was to be directed by Alex Proyas.
After accepting the panic set in. First was to order a pile of materials to get it to my workshop ASAP, then to find a crew to help.
The model had a main version set at the time of the story. All those scenes were shot then...
... the model had to be altered and banged up to look decrepit set at our time 200 years later. this was done during a break on the shoot.
Along with the exterior, 6 interior sets were built for background elements for the actors.
The look was stylized, not needing to be ultra realistic which really helped the very tight deadline. A great deal of fun to do even with the hours worked.
